About Abilene Crane Rental Co.

Abilene Crane Rental Co. supplies cranes and rental equipment, and runs operated lifts, for jobs in Abilene and the Big Country. We work from the load and the site rather than from a price list: the weight, the radius, the height, the ground, the lines overhead, the airspace and the street in front of the job. That is why this site explains the rules and prints published prices with their sources, so you can check a quote line by line before you sign it.

The pages here are written from published sources: OSHA's rules, Texas statutes and TxDMV rules, the FAA's Part 77, the City of Abilene's own pages, the National Weather Service and makers' published specifications, each named where it is used. Prices are published national figures with their dates, not our rates. When a rental goes out bare, we want to know who will operate it; for forklifts, telehandlers and aerial lifts, we look for operators trained the way OSHA and ANSI/SAIA require. For a lift that needs a written plan, see rigging and lift planning.
